@robertmooreitv My husband is at sea for months. He knows very little of what happened on 6/1 as they get minimal news diseminated. I have saved your documentary to show him when returns. It’s going to be a shocking watch for him!
Thanks, Jenny. Fair Winds and Following Seas to your husband.
Question for 1A types: Is what @robertmooreitv did here legal or illegal? Would US news orgs be less willing to let their correspondents do this, not for safety reasons but for legal ones?
What’s your view @felixsalmon ? My thought at the time was clear - that we were pursuing what the great, late @repjohnlewis called on all of us to do when facing a tough call - get into “good trouble.” Reporting for the world on an insurrection in real time was just that.

@robertmooreitv @itvnews @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris Robert really enjoyed your coverage of over the last weeks. Brave beyond belief in the Capitol riots. That tv training with Lorraine Kelly prepared you well 👏
Two weeks after being in the midst of the Capitol Hill attack, Robert tells another historic tale from the same location - this one as uplifting as the other was shocking.

Lived in DC during 911, the anthrax attacks, and the Washington sniper killing, but I’ve never seen the American capital, a place I’ve always loved, in such a sorry state.
Agree with @NickBryantNY - jarring images in this quiet city on the Potomac, with 25,000 troops on the streets. Last scenes like these were in 1861-65, when there were 68 artillery batteries and forts encircling the city to keep Confederate forces at bay. #FortressWashington
