At the Bharat Biotech facility in Hyderabad, was briefed about their indigenous COVID-19 vaccine. Congratulated the scientists for their progress in the trials so far. Their team is closely working with ICMR to facilitate speedy progress.
Visited the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad to know more about the indigenous DNA based vaccine being developed by Zydus Cadila. I compliment the team behind this effort for their work. Government of India is actively working with them to support them in this journey.
I congratulate the people of Arunachal for the state being adjudged number 1 in ‘leading small state in fight against #COVID19’ and ‘most improved small state in #education’ in the annual #StateOfTheStatesAward 2020 by @IndiaToday. A result of exemplary #TeamArunachal spirit.

Had an excellent discussion with my friend, UK PM @BorisJohnson on an ambitious roadmap for India-UK ties in the next decade. We agreed to work towards a quantum leap in our cooperation in all areas - trade & investment, defence & security, climate change, and fighting Covid-19.
➡️Steel production and consumption gathers momentum signalling revival of construction activity.
➡️Power consumption and E-way bills clocked double digit growth in October suggesting buoyancy in industrial and commercial activities (6/7)
V-shaped recovery in use-based Industries especially in consumer goods, especially consumer durables, and investment, especially capital and infrastructure goods suggest strong revival of both consumption and investment, which together account for about 90% of India’s GDP (4/7)
Q2 GDP at –7.5% buttresses recovery as captured by several high frequency indicators. Economic impact is primarily due to #COVID19, good news is falling daily cases are due to lower transmission & not due to lower testing. To sustain economic recovery, caution must continue.(1/7)
