The first novel I can remember reading all by myself was Tales in Toyland by Enid Blyton when I was...maybe 7. I cannot remember a thing about the book now. I remember my next read much better. That was Beverly Cleary's Beezus and Ramona. #FirstNovel

@GailSimone I don’t think it was the first, but it’s the one that sticks in my mind-The Black Stallion. I started there and worked my through the rest of the library. I finally learned to ride and bought my horse at 38. He’s still with me 26 years later. #FirstNovel

I used to have a reading buffet with the Goosebumps books. #FirstNovel

I had to rack my brain for this, but the first novels that I remember really standing out to me, are the hunger games, they started me on the path of Dystopian Future Books that I have come to love, which eventually led me to sci-fi and partial romance books. #FirstNovel

In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth2021, I would like to pay homage to Erica Jong author of Fear of Flying who coined the term "zipless fuck". One of the #FirstNovel I read, probably explains a lot about me. #writerslift #writerscommunity

@schiekapedia @GailSimone Ugh, this is hard. Outside of children's books probably Stephen King's Pet Semetary. I was 10, and got it from the adult section of the library. Yep, and I got nightmares... #FirstNovel

@GailSimone #FirstNovel Not sure as I've been reading as long as I can remember but The Choirboys by Wambaugh was probably the book that made me love crime novels. Honorable mention for Day of the Jackal.
