I was 11 years old (the same age as my daughter today), and I was in the car (a Ford LTD station wagon, sitting in the back) when we heard the news over the radio. I came home and cried. At that time, I had visions of being an astronaut, as did many. #Challenger #RIP @NASA

1/28/1986: I was a high school student, standing in the hallway with a few others just outside the gym. I think we were waiting for the dismissal bell. Then the principal's voice came over the PA, announcing the shuttle explosion...
